Ordering agent

Giant Factories Inc. is the only water heater manufacturer operating in Canada! We manufacture commercial, residential, electric, gas and oil water heaters. Our products are sold coast to coast!
We are currently looking for an Ordering agent.

Supervisor : Internal Sales Coordinator


The primary tasks and responsibilities of this position can be summarized as, but are not limited to:

  • Receive customer orders by phone / E.D.I. / email / fax;
  • Verify customer orders received by E.D.I./email/fax;
  • Perform order entry on computer to issue purchase orders with bills of lading;
  • Follow up on back orders (B/O);
  • Respond by phone, email and fax to customer inquiries regarding their orders, our product line, pricing, availabilities and delivery times;
  • Notify customers by phone, email or fax when special orders are ready for delivery or pick-up;
  • Obtain necessary credit authorizations for new and existing customers in the accounting department;
  • Eventually, plan with the operations managers, the daily production and shipping of finished products;
  • Resolve shipping, delivery and receiving problems;
  • And all other tasks related to the job.



  • PERFECTLY BILINGUAL – English and French
  • Knowledge of the Office suite
  • 5+ years of experience in customer service and order taking (experience with large plumbing or hardware retailers would be considered an asset)
  • Quick to learn, organized and likes to follow up
  • Be autonomous, resourceful and proactive
  • Have a highly developed customer profile
  • Work under pressure and know how to respect deadlines
